The 2010 Mawson Lakes Carols
The Mawson Lakes Carols will be back on Sunday 12 December 2010 at Mobara Park. This annual event would not be possible without the generous support and sponsorship from the Mawson Lakes business community.
This year will be the 12th Carols event for the community of Mawson Lakes who rally at the established Mobara Park venue to celebrate the festive season and set the tone for a festive Christmas. Both residents and the business community benefit from the celebrations and the highlight of the evening is saved for the children when Santa, himself, arrives!
Entertainment will include bands, choirs from local churches, face painting and free activities for the children and The Salvation Army will be co-ordinating all the music and choirs for the Carols - an exciting new development!
There will be stalls selling a variety of foods including BBQ sausages, hot dogs, cold drinks and ice creams. The restaurants at The Promenade, along Main Street and beyond are also available for enjoying local fare and reservations where possible are suggested as the many (estimated at 2300 last year) Carol go-ers go in search of sustainance and refreshment.
