Community Safety Day 2011

Community Safety Day provides South Australians with a chance to take part in activities and events and learn how to make their local community a safer place to live, learn, work and play.

Local communities, groups, schools, regional services, businesses, state and local government departments and agencies, will be involved in this year's event.

As part of he national Community Safety Month celebration, the Australian Safe Communities Foundation will hold a special event on Sunday 16th October between 2.00-5.00pm in the Mawson Centre at Mawson Lakes.

The event aims to promote awareness about a broad range of safety matters, including prime prevention, personal safety, safe work practices and staying safe during an emergency.

Put Sunday 16th October on your calendar as "Community Safety Day - Mawson Lakes."
