We all know the importance of maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle. At Mawson Lakes the entire community is designed to help you get out and about - particularly without the need to use the car.

It is a guide to the many wonders of the Mawson Lakes community. Relaxed places to visit with the family, places for some serious exercise, formal sport areas, quiet spots to ponder as well as public artworks and historical sites to discover.




Lakes

All lakes are suitable for passive water activity including boating, model crafts and fishing. Swimming and motorised boats are not permitted.


Sir Douglas Mawson Lake – 7ha
Largest lake north of the City. Includes 500m rowing
course, boat launching facilities.


Shearwater Lake – 2ha

Includes boat-launching ramp.


The Bridges Lake – 1.8ha
1.8ha ornamental lake. Includes island and pedestrian bridges
