SciWorld Sunday at The Mawson Centre was a great success!   The Mawson Centre hosted 'SciWorld Sunday' activities on 29 August 2010. Despite the wet and windy weather there was a large turnout and many events like the 'Robotics Workshop' were booked out with the maximum numbers of particpants possible at each session. There were a variety of hands on science experiences for kids arranged by Young Scientists Australia and presentations from the natural world such as 'Bugs 'n Slugs' and the 'Native animals' show where some visitors enjoyed close encounters with the visiting species. With the inaugural 'Festival of Innovation' on at the UniSA Mawson Lakes campus adjacent to The Mawson Centre on the same day there was also the opportunity to enquire about the latest available, cutting edge teaching options, opportunities in innovative careers and world leading, visionary industries in operation and take a tour of the $30 million science lab facility.
