This information from the Mawson Lakes School Fund Raising Committee:

Fancy driving around Mawson Lakes in a brand new Mitsubishi Outlander? Or heading off for a long weekend in your new Caravan? Maybe even some new furniture or IT from Harvey Norman?...

...these are just a few of the 165 total prizes available in this year’s Australian Central Community Lottery. The total value of the prize pool is over $280,000 thanks to the support of generous businesses. For a list of all the prizes available, please click here

What’s more – by buying a ticket from either Mawson Lakes School or Preschool, the whole $2 you pay for your ticket will go straight to them to raise funds for our preschoolers and school kids. During 2010 Mawson Lakes School will be raising funds for equipment for the new Community Gym which most of you will have seen currently under construction at the School, and Mawson Lakes Preschool is raising funds to finish the upgrade of their playground area as well as buying much needed learning resources.

What is the Australian Central Community Lottery?

The Australian Central Community Lottery is a self help scheme which, since 1984, has distributed over $6 million to not-for-profit sporting clubs, schools and pre-schools, community groups and charitable organisations in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

·         There is absolutely no cost for not-for-profit groups to participate

·         Tickets are $2 each

·         Participating organisations retain 100% of all proceeds which they generate through the sale of lottery tickets

·         With 10 tickets in each book, community groups make $20 per lottery book sold

In 2009, the Lottery raised almost $1.2 million for 516 not for profit organisations. This year with over 530 participating organisations, records are set to be broken!

If you would like to purchase tickets, please go to the Front Office at Mawson Lakes School and one of the friendly staff there will be more than happy to assist you. If you can’t make it during school hours, please contact the Mawson Lakes School Fundraising Team at fund.raising@mawsonlakes.sa.edu.au and they will arrange to get tickets to you. If there are any businesses who would like to sell a book, please make contact via the email address and a book will be dropped off to you.

The kids at Mawson Lakes Preschool and School thank you for your support!
